Online OCD courses for family and loved ones

For family and loved ones

Build a thorough understanding of OCD and the work of changing its patterns. Courses for partners, parents, siblings and other loved ones connect this learning with practical support and attention to your own needs.

A new understanding to guide your work

The course for adults with OCD combines explanations, examples and practical exercises to help you explore your own responses and apply what you learn in everyday situations. It has two parts, purchased separately. Part 1 includes all 12 type-based tracks, so you can explore another if several patterns are relevant or your OCD changes. Part 2 builds on Part 1 and requires it. You can decide later whether to continue into Part 2, which looks more deeply at what those responses are trying to achieve and how to work with them.

The course includes access to the Knowledge Universe from week 3 of Part 1. Its exercises, explanations, mini-courses and other resources support needs that arise alongside the course, such as managing anxiety when it becomes especially difficult. The course material draws on clinical work and teaching developed at OCD Klinikken.

Courses for family and loved ones use the same models and concepts as the main course to build a thorough understanding of OCD. You explore why rituals and mental strategies can feel necessary even when a fear or rule seems illogical, and what changing these patterns involves. Each course connects this understanding with your particular relationship, helping you communicate and support the person’s work with OCD, including their course work where relevant. The courses also address your own needs and the worry, exhaustion or pressure you may experience.
